Autumn  Morning Star

DFM, PhD, CHom, ADS

Autumn Morning Star started her educational journey in a pre-med program with goals of practicing holistic medicine. While volunteering in hospitals, she met resistance and dismissal by medical doctors, who told her that 'holistic medicine was not an acceptable field'. After much frustration, she changed her major and went on to earn her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Memphis, graduating summa cum laude.

Meanwhile,  her beloved childhood hobby of magic helped her create a successful career as a magical performing artist, touring the world with her show and earning many awards and accolades. Still, she felt overwhelmingly drawn to help others with their health.

Seeing the struggles of people with substance abuse issues, she was inspired to become certified by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) as an AcuDetox Specialist. Next she became certified as a Level II Reiki Provider, so she could bring healing and peace to cancer patients and those suffering with chronic pain and stress.

But more than this, Autumn was a chronic migraine sufferer:
"I used to have up to 25 migraines a month. I even had a service dog (who is now a happy and fluffy retiree.)

"After countless MD visits, MRIs, and tests that showed “nothing,” I sought care from a Naturopath, a homeopath, and a craniosacral practitioner.  I hesitated because insurance didn’t cover them—but when I think of what I paid in deductibles and the personal cost of suffering, it was absolutely, worth the reasonable investment in my health."

"The changes I made were surprisingly simple, but the results were life-changing. This journey transformed me so deeply that I went back to school and earned a PhD in Functional Medicine. While I work with longevity, addiction, weight loss, and more, I specialize in uncovering the root cause of migraines."

"I share this because freedom from migraines is possible. I’m here to help anyone who’s ready for a new path."

Autumn is board-certified by the American Natural Wellness Practitioners Board (ANWPB), licensed by the Professional Wellness Alliance (PWA), and insured. She embraces the wellness-rooted care of her clients with much joy. In her free time she enjoys being a mom, attending local magic clubs, dancing at powwows, working out in her gym, cooking whole foods and fabulous breads, and performing her magic show. Autumn lives on the edge of the Pike National Forest in Perry Park, Colorado and enjoys spending time in nature with her family.
