Autumn  Morning Star

DFM, PhD, CHom, ADS

Autumn Morning Star started her educational journey in a pre-med program with goals of practicing holistic medicine. While volunteering in hospitals, she met resistance and dismissal by medical doctors, who told her that 'holistic medicine was not an acceptable field'. After much frustration, she changed her major and went on to earn her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Memphis, graduating summa cum laude.

Meanwhile,  her beloved childhood hobby of magic helped her create a successful career as a magical performing artist, touring the world with her show and earning many awards and accolades. Still, she felt overwhelmingly drawn to help others with their health.

Seeing the struggles of people with substance abuse issues, she was inspired to become certified by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) as an AcuDetox Specialist. Next she became certified as a Level II Reiki Provider, so she could bring healing and peace to cancer patients and those suffering with chronic pain and stress.

Morning Star soon discovered the formal practice of functional medicine, a complementary medicine that searches for the root cause of illness, using natural ways to restore health. She went back to school and earned her PhD from the Rockwell School of Holistic Medicine.

Autumn is professionally board-certified by the American Natural Wellness Practitioners Board (ANWPB), licensed by the Professional Wellness Alliance (PWA), and insured. She embraces the wellness-rooted care of her clients with much joy. In her free time she enjoys being a mom, attending local magic clubs, dancing at powwows, working out in her gym, cooking whole foods and fabulous breads, and performing her magic show. Autumn lives on the edge of the Pike National Forest in Colorado and enjoys spending time in nature with her family.
